Walaan (On Fire)
The black and gold era in BOBOS music: a 2026 release made entirely in Manchester, with its roots in Tanta.

“Walaan isn’t anger. Walaan means lit up. When you rebuild yourself from zero 300 times, you learn to stay on fire. This jacket is armour, and the gold means I made it through.”
Ehab Nofal / BOBOS, Manchester 2026
What is the Walaan era?
Walaan is the name of the release and of the stage BOBOS is living through after surgery and recovery. The look is part of the sound: a black jacket embroidered in gold, cinematic studio lighting and a dark gold backdrop. The message is that fire can light you up without burning you.
Visual identity
- Gold embroidery: a handmade detail that joins heritage with modern streetwear.
- Dark gold backdrop: cinematic studio lighting made for press and covers.
- 100% independent: from choosing the outfit to the final mix, all done without a label.
Those same two colours, black and gold, are the colours of the BOBOS FM logo and of this website.
