About BOBOS

From Tanta to Manchester, note by note

The story of Ehab Nofal (BOBOS), the Egyptian-British artist who writes, composes and produces his own songs, and of the station that plays them.

The start: an old piano in Tanta

The story began with an old piano his mother played at home in Tanta. At six Ehab picked up the xylophone, at nine the accordion, and he sang solo in school bands. He never went to a music conservatory or took theory lessons. He listened and repeated until the melody came out right.

Before music became his main work, Ehab worked in advertising, design and visual production. That background is why he designs his own covers and visual identity today.

Manchester and rebuilding

Moving to Manchester meant starting everything from zero, alongside serious health challenges. Between hospitals and recovery periods he taught himself every stage of making a modern song: writing, composing, sound production, mixing, cover design, branding and global distribution.

No label, no manager, no co-writers. Full creative control, from the first chord to uploading the song to Spotify.

Since 2020 he has released more than 300 original works on more than 50 platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Anghami and Deezer. He started in English and Spanish, then moved into work that mixes both with Egyptian rhythms.

2026: the Arabic voice

In 2026 Ehab returned to Egypt for surgery, and during his recovery he found his Arabic voice for the first time. He wrote, composed, sang and produced the album Awel Lahza (First Moment) in Modern Standard Arabic. It includes “Dawama”, which passed 19,000 streams, along with “Ya Ghayeb” and “Ya Bakhty”.

Next came the 2026 releases in Egyptian Arabic: the album Taaly Haqolak and the Walaan era, along with the songs you hear on the station today.

Why BOBOS FM?

BOBOS is Ehab’s artist name, and BOBOS FM is his official station. It lets listeners hear all the work in one continuous stream instead of moving between platforms. The station runs on a private server using AzuraCast, broadcasts MP3 at 192kbps, and shows the name and cover of each song as it plays.
