The idea
Ba2et Ghawy is the night side of BOBOS’s music. Instead of light romance, love here is entanglement, a prison and a sweet curse, and the man who locked his heart in iron finds himself hooked without ever meaning to be.
The album moves from falling (“Ba2et Ghawy”, “Metwarat Feeki”) to safety (“Babek”, “Fi Hodnek”, “Ma Btetiresh”), then the mark that never fades, and ends with “Waad Menny”, a promise until the last day. The production is Egyptian trap: heavy 808s, percussion and melodic vocals.
